On Saturday, June 24th from 9AM -12 noon, The South Yarmouth Tennis Club, 149 Old Main Street, South Yarmouth, MA., presents the Best Serve On Cape Cod Challenge and you could win!
Cash prizes include $150, $100 and $50 to each of the first, second and third fastest men and women servers, and a free one-hour massage gift certificate at Bass River Chiropractic for the fourth through sixth place contestants. Competitors will be clocked with a radar gun and seen on a large LED monitor for easy viewing.
The most accurate serve competition will take place in four brackets in both mens and womens including Open, ages 30-49, 50-69, and 70 & over. Winners will receive gift certificates for a free one-hour massage.
Entry fee is $10 for 10 balls. Enter as many times as you wish. There's plenty of free courts to warm-up on before competing.
“This is a really fun event and it's for a good cause,” said Dan Reida of Bass River Chiropractic, 833 Main Street, South Yarmouth who is sponsoring the event and providing prize monies, T-shirts and refreshments including pizza, subs and beverages. “If you have a tennis partner or teammates that think they are faster or more accurate than you - challenge them and see. Win or not, won't it be fun to see how fast the radar gun says you serve,” he said.
Proceeds to benefit the South Yarmouth Tennis Club Youth Scholarship Program. The South Yarmouth Tennis Club is a private, non-profit social organization founded in 1952.
