On Wednesday morning June 26 th , SYTC’s women filled all six courts for a fast-paced “meet
and greet” round robin. Steve Francis designed the format to match every player with a different
partner against two different opponents for six 15-minute rotations. Upon arrival at the Club,
each player drew a number between 1 and 24 and downloaded a photo of the draw sheet to
their phone. For each round, the draw sheet was consulted to find out which court the player
moved to next. After tennis, socializing continued with a delicious buffet luncheon of potluck
dishes and desserts. Throughout the morning, comments heard from participants included
“Wow, this is so fun!” and “I’ve met so many women I didn’t know before”! To which we can
reply, “Mission Accomplished!”
